In April, the temporary seat of the Famagusta Municipal Art Gallery will be ready at the Municipal Museum of Ayia Napa "Thalassa", where works that were in the Art Gallery of the occupied municipality will be housed.
A statement said that a memorandum of understanding was signed today by the Mayors of Ayia Napa and Famagusta, Christos Zannettou and Dr Simos Ioannou, for the creation of a temporary headquarters for the Municipal Gallery of the occupied city. The signing of the memorandum took place at the "Thalassa" Museum in Ayia Napa and the temporary seat of the Gallery, until the liberation of Famagusta, will house 140 surviving works of leading Cypriot and Greek artists.
