Russia's intervention in Ukraine is expected to be a huge blow to tourism in the free province of Famagusta, Doros Takkas, President of PASYXE Famagusta, told CNA, adding that tourists from the Russian-speaking republics account for more than 50% of tourist traffic in the region.
Takas, after describing Russia's invasion of Ukraine as "a very negative development", noted that "the conflict may reach the point where we may not have any tourism from the two specific countries or from the Russian-speaking Republics in general.
