[CNA] Heavy traffic in Nicosia due to a motorcade

Heavy traffic is observed in Nicosia, due to a convoy heading towards the city centre around 1.00 pm. The convoy is a protest event as part of the "Freedom Convoy" demonstrations being held in various countries against the restrictions taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A march to Liberty Square will follow, and the Police recommend special attention to those travelling on the Nicosia road network, while vehicle drivers in particular are advised to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and follow the instructions of the police officers on duty.
