Our 23 athletes who took part on Sunday in the second Indoor Athletics Conference, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium of Piraeus, had a good presence.
An announcement of the COEAS said that among the results stands out Marianna Pisiara's 7.46 in the 60m, which improved all her performances in open and indoor athletics in the last year.
Skye Andreou ran 7.47 in the preliminaries, but could not make it to the final. Cyprus 800m indoor record holder Christos Demetriou (1:48.23) recorded 1:50.53 in his first race in 2022. Both of our athletes placed second in their respective events.
First places were taken by Kyriakos Pampakas in the high jump with 2.03m (Vassilis Konstantinou did not compete) and Konstantinos Alexiadis in the shot put with 16.73m. Nikandros Stylianou took second place
