[/ATTACH][BR] German output fell in December 2021 due to a battered construction sector, according to official data released on Monday, as Europe's largest economy faces problems in the global supply chain.

Output fell 0.3% in the final month of last year, erasing a revised 0.3% rise in November, according to data from Germany's federal statistics office, Destatis. [FOR THE FULL YEAR 2021, INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION WAS 3% HIGHER THAN IN 2020, BUT STILL 5.5% LOWER THAN IN 2019, BEFORE THE START OF THE KORUNA CRISIS.
