[CNA] Four deaths from COVID-19 and 1,764 cases on Saturday, 160 hospitalized

Four more people died on Saturday in Cyprus from COVID-19 while 1,764 new cases were announced. At the same time 160 patients are hospitalized, 37 in serious condition.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19 is 823 while the number of cases is 304,425.

The deaths involve two men aged 90 and 75 who died on 18 February and a man aged 82 and a woman aged 88 who died today.


At the same time, 160 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals of the OCYP, 37 in serious condition. 13 people are in ICUs, 2 off ventilators and 11 intubated, while another 24 are in PICUs.

The percentage of inpatients without a history of vaccination is 66.88%.
