[CNA] Four deaths from coronavirus and 3,197 new cases announced Wednesday by the Ministry of Health

Four deaths from COVID-19 and 3,197 new cases with a positivity rate of 2.85% were announced on Wednesday by the Ministry of Health. The hospitalized are 266 of which 93 are in serious condition. 76.32% of the hospitalized have no history of vaccination.

Also, 16 post-COVID patients, who ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized intubated in serious condition due to COVID in an intensive care unit.

The 4 persons who died with the final cause of death attributed to COVID-19 are a woman, aged 68 years, who died on 9 January in the Intensive Care Unit of Limassol General Hospital and a second woman, aged 81 years, who died on 11 January at Paphos General Hospital.
