In the last 24 hours, the Police carried out 1,895 checks nationwide, which resulted in three complaints against citizens and the owner of an establishment for compliance with the relevant Ordinances of the Ministry of Health on coronavirus.
As a spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police told CNA, in Nicosia 394 checks were carried out and two citizens were denounced for not wearing a protective mask, in Limassol checks amounted to 147 without any complaints, while in Larnaca out of 405 checks one citizen was denounced for not wearing a protective mask.
In Paphos, out of 132 checks, one owner of an establishment was complained against and an extrajudicial fine of 500 euros was imposed, in Famagusta the checks amounted to 373 and no complaints were lodged, as well as no complaints were lodged in the province of Morphou.
