A police statement said that "in particular, in the Troodos highlands, members of the police were called and provided assistance to vehicle drivers who were stranded on the road."
Open only to vehicles moving on all four wheels or equipped with anti-slip chains are specifically the roads Platron-Troodos, Karvouna-Troodos, and Prodromos-Troodos, as well as the roads Pedoulas-Prodromos-Troodos, Pedoulas-Prodromos-Lemithos, and Pedoulas-Kykkos.
