The President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades gave instructions for the formulation within the next 15 days of the priorities for the implementation of the Fire Service's study recommendations for upgrading the necessary technological infrastructure by the Committee set up for this purpose, at a meeting held under his presidency at the Presidential Palace on fire prevention.
In a written statement, Government Spokesman Marios Pelicanos said that "following the established policy of the Presidency of the Republic for a timely study of the immediate needs and actions required for prevention and more effective response to possible fires, the President of the Republic chaired a meeting with all relevant bodies at the Presidential Palace today."
