FIFA and UEFA have suspended the participation of Russian national teams and football clubs from all competitions until further notice due to the country's invasion of Ukraine, they said in a joint statement on Monday.
"Football stands in full solidarity with the people affected in Ukraine. Both Presidents hope that the situation in Ukraine will improve significantly and quickly so that football can once again become a vehicle for unity and peace," the statement said.
