[CNA] Fatal road collision with 60-year-old woman victim in Paphos

Androula Papachristoforou, 60, from Paphos, has died in a new fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Sunday night in Paphos.

According to a statement from the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, the accident occurred at around 9.15pm yesterday, on Priamou Street in Paphos, when under circumstances that are being investigated, a car driven by an unknown person, lured and injured Papachristoforu, who was on foot on the road. After the accident, the driver fled the scene, leaving the 60-year-old woman helpless.

The 60-year-old woman was taken, by ambulance, to Paphos General Hospital, where around 11.30pm she succumbed to her injuries.

Police are urging anyone who knows anything in relation to the circumstances of the accident to contact the Paphos Traffic Police on 26-806101 or the nearest Police Station, or
