A possible conflict between Russia and Ukraine will have a major impact on fuel prices, not only in Europe, but even if the situation does not escalate, the energy crisis and consequently the increased prices are expected to continue, according to Dr. Charles Ellinas, a hydrocarbon expert. Cyprus is affected by the whole scenario, through rising oil prices and pollutant prices, Dr. Ellis Ellis told CNA.
