Within the third quarter of the year, natural gas production from Israel's Karish field is expected to begin, Energean has announced.
According to a statement from the company, the connection of the Karish field to the gas transmission system of the operator INGL (Israel Natural Gas Line) at the Energean station on the Dor coast has been completed. This is the joining of two transmission pipelines with a diameter of 30 inches to transport the gas through INGL's national system, after it was brought in by a 90-kilometer subsea pipeline coming from Energean Power, the first FPSO in the history of the Eastern Mediterranean, which will pump the gas from the Karish offshore field.
