The economic recovery from the contraction caused by the Covid pandemic in 2020, spurred by the global effort to promote vaccinations, the great uncertainty created by the new Omicron mutation, the question marks in the wake of soaring inflation, as well as problems in supply chains and soaring energy costs, are the events that marked the global economy in 2021.
In our country, 2021 followed much the same pattern. The contraction of the economy due to Covid was short-lived, with the recovery making up for lost ground in 2020 and the Omicron mutation being the unpredictable factor.
