[CNA] Economic Council: Establishment of a "relatively low" minimum wage with an adjustment mechanism

The establishment of a National Minimum Wage (NMW) at a relatively low level, which is higher than the Minimum Guaranteed Income, with a mechanism to adjust its level on the basis of independent expert evidence, taking into account the arguments of the social partners and not on the basis of their bargaining power balance or political and other interests", recommends the Council of Economy and Competitiveness.

"The key aspect of the ESM institution is the setting of its level," the Council said in a press release, noting that "any setting or revision of the ESM at an unreasonably high level is likely to have serious consequences for the economy, but may also have the opposite effect from its main objectives"
