The EIB and the Ministry of Finance agreed that any proposals to the European Commission for amendments to the draft law on VAT on first homes must be sufficiently substantiated.
According to an EIB statement, the issue was on the agenda of a meeting between an EIB team headed by its President, Konstantinos Konstantis, and the Minister of Finance, Konstantinos Petridis, as well as technocrats from the Ministry, led by the Director General of the Ministry, George Pantelis.
According to the announcement, the meeting briefly presented and discussed ETEC's proposals on various technical aspects of the proposed regulation and held a first exchange of views on these issues.
