Any delay in passing the judicial reform will lead to a collapse of the judiciary, with dire consequences for the rule of law, Attorney General George Savvidis stresses in a written statement.


Mr. Savvidis welcomes the statement of the Supreme Court in relation to the reform of the Judiciary made during today's meeting chaired by the President of the Republic, "that, due to the agreement reached on the establishment of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Advisory Council for the appointment of judges, the constitutional reservations stemming from the fundamental Article 157 of the Constitution no longer exist and that any positions taken from time to time by members of the Supreme Court on the separation of the tertiary courts (although respected) constitute personal opinions as to the necessity of separation,
