A fatal accident involving Christos Yagou, 90 years old from Xylofagou, occurred at noon on the Ayia Napa Larnaca highway, near the Xylofagou exit.
A written statement from the British Bases said that shortly before 3 p.m. today, information was received by the British Bases Dhekelia Police about a head-on collision between a saloon car and a small motorcycle on the Ayia Napa-Larnaca highway, near the Xylofagou exit, which is Bases territory.
It is added that "as a result of the collision, the driver of the moped, Christos Yagou, 90 years old from Xylofagou, died, while the driver of the car, 48 years old from Limassol, was evacuated to Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni for preventive examinations.
