The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued an invitation for dialogue on the creation of a regulatory sandbox.
As digital technologies have reshaped the landscape in which regulated entities operate, CySEC notes that "the challenge for regulators is to keep pace with this rapidly evolving reality so that the benefits provided by these new and emerging technologies are made available, while ensuring that adequate systems, controls, policies and procedures are in place to minimise the risks that arise". [THE CYSEC NOTES THAT IT IS CURRENTLY SEEKING COMMENTS AND VIEWS IN ORDER TO EXPAND ITS WORK IN THE FIELD OF INNOVATION.
