The Deputy Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the UN, Polly Ioannou, who participated last Thursday, March 10, in the informal thematic consultations of the General Assembly on the UN Secretary General's report "Our Common Agenda", supported the UN Secretary General's proposal for a UN Summit on the Future.
According to a statement transmitted by the GMP, Ms. Ioannou expressed the expectation that the high-level advisory council that the Secretary-General intends to appoint will make a rich contribution of ideas to Member States, with a view to adopting ambitious goals at the Conference.
