[CNA] Cyprus' Permanent Representative to the UN expresses solidarity with Ukraine and support for its sovereignty

The Republic of Cyprus expresses its solidarity with Ukraine and supports its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, he said in his intervention at the 11th UN General Assembly Emergency Special Session on Ukraine yesterday, 1 March, the Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the UN, Ambassador Andreas Hadjichrysanthou

He also expressed the regret of the Republic of Cyprus for the loss of lives, human suffering and mass displacement caused by the hostilities as a consequence of the war in Ukraine, which Cyprus has been experiencing for almost 50 years.

According to a statement, Mr. Hadjichrysanthou stressed that Cyprus condemns any breach in international peace and security caused by military action by a state against independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state
