Cyprus has officially joined the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) as an observer member and is implementing relevant policies at state level.Indicative of the country's determination to continue these policies is yesterday's decision by the Council of Ministers to adopt the IHRA's Statement of Work on Holocaust Denial and Distortion, the Foreign Ministry said.
In a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of Holocaust Victims, the Foreign Ministry said these policies include adopting the IHRA's working definition of anti-Semitism and providing training for teachers in cooperation with Yad Vashem, incorporating valuable lessons into the education system.
