Cyprus was assessed and ranked in the "advanced category", taking twelfth place in the relevant list with an overall score of 54.5 on the EMEA EPB Heatmap for Private Businesses in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA EPB Heatmap), according to a PwC announcement.
Cyprus' strengths, according to the map, include the Macroeconomic Environment (ranked 5th), and the Tax and Regulatory Environment (ranked 4th).
The map also lists the areas in which Cyprus has weaknesses and requires improvement and in particular, these areas relate to the integration of ESG objectives, with Cyprus ranking only 31st out of 34 countries and in the area of technology and infrastructure, where Cyprus ranks 18th.
