Next Tuesday, 8 March, the first shipment of humanitarian aid from Cyprus to the Ukrainian people is expected, following arrangements made in consultation with the European Union's Civil Protection Mechanism.
In a written statement, the Commissioner for Citizens, Panagiotis Sentonas, said that the first humanitarian aid package includes €700 worth of medical supplies.000, food, for the collection of which more than 40 centres have been activated across the country and civil protection equipment (tents, sleeping bags, first aid kits, etc.).
