Cyprus has not opposed any EU sanctions against Russia, including the disconnection of the country from the SWIFT international payment system, Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides said in a Twitter post.
"EU leaders responded to illegal Russian military actions in Ukraine with economic sanctions on Russia. In the name of EU unity and solidarity with the Ukrainian people, Cyprus has not opposed any EU sanctions, including cutting Russia off from Swift.
