The National Council will meet at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon under the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, to review developments in the Cyprus problem and to be briefed on the issue of the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs), as Government Spokesman Marios Pelekanos told CNA.

Pelecanos said the meeting is also expected to discuss the situation as it evolves with developments in Ukraine.

"There will be a review of the developments in the Cyprus problem since the previous session of the National Council and there will be an update and discussion on the issue of the MEAs, which are being promoted, as well as efforts to restart the negotiations," Pelecanos said.

Asked whether the issue of the war in Ukraine will also be discussed, Mr. Pelecanos said.
