Cypriot track and field athletes participated at the weekend in competitions in the USA and France.
Specifically, Philippa Fotopoulou had her first race in 2022 on Saturday afternoon.
According to the COEAS, the 25-year-old champion took part in the international meet in Nantes, France, with a best jump of 6.22m, which placed her in second place.
As for the meeting in Nantes, the jumps of the Cypriot champion were in order: clear, 6.22m, 6.17m, clear, 6.14m, clear.
The first place was taken by Lorentina Iusco of Romania with 6.31m, while third was Marie Bouya Mala of Congo, representing France.
Next stop for Philippa Fotopoulou is expected to be Miramas, France,
