The reduction of the period of self-limitation from 14 to 10 days for persons who are close contacts of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case and who are required by the protocol to be restricted, was decided by the Council of Ministers, which met today under the presidency of the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades.
According to a written statement by the Deputy Government Spokesperson, Nivi Parisinou, the decision comes into force from 24 January 2022.
"Release earlier than 10 days can be done by a PCR laboratory test with a negative result on the 7th day of contact or later at own expense," she adds.
