A total of 14 traffic offences were reported during checks carried out yesterday on the main and secondary roads of Paphos by traffic patrols.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director, Michael Ioannou, the traffic complaints were made during yesterday's day as part of the Directorate's efforts to prevent road traffic collisions as well as burglaries and thefts, and the focus of the checks, continued , were the offences that have been proven to be among the main causes of serious and fatal road collisions, such as exceeding the speed limit, failure to wear a seat belt and protective helmet, as well as the use of a mobile phone.
Specifically, he said, of the 14 complaints, of which one driver was cited for parking in a handicapped space and 13 complaints
