The largest of the island's medieval bridges, that of Tzielefou, in the Paphos district, was the subject of a concert entitled "The Bridge of Tzielefou" which was held at the House of Cyprus in Athens, on Thursday 3 February with the participation of the Choir and Orchestra of the Municipality of Agios Athanasios in Limassol and conducted by Antigoni Kyriakidou. Also participating were Maria Ioannidou on piano and Andrianos Paradisotis on saxophone.
According to an announcement from the House of Cyprus in Athens, "the bridge of Tzielefou is built over the Diarizo River and is the largest of the island's medieval bridges, situated in an idyllic location at an altitude of 440 metres in the Paphos forest and was built during the Venetian occupation in Cyprus between 1489 and 1571".
