The Culture Movement asks the Government to announce a comprehensive support package for workers in the field of arts and culture.
The government "continues to defiantly ignore workers in the field of arts and culture, leading them to the brink of economic collapse," the Movement said in a statement, noting that people in the arts and culture "rightly feel abandoned in the hands of a ruthless pandemic, but mostly feel neglected by the official state."
As the Culture Movement states, "in no way do the allowances that have been granted from March 2019 until today (February 2022), compensate or correct the irreparable damage caused by the lockdowns and restrictions on the attendance of spectators at cultural venues."
