The positive course of the Cypriot economy and its promising prospects are confirmed by the European Commission's winter forecasts, the Ministry of Finance said, noting that real GDP grew by 5.3% in the first nine months of 2021, while the forecast for 2022 is for 4.1% growth.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, Cyprus' real GDP in 2021 recovered strongly, while it is estimated that the loss due to the health crisis in 2020 will be fully recovered, increasing confidence in the economic environment and strengthening the state's position to support sustainable growth through a commitment to prudent fiscal policy, with particular emphasis on investment and the promotion of necessary reforms.
