The approval of Cyprus' €6.13 million incentive scheme for airlines affected by the COVID-19 pandemic has been announced by the European Commission, noting that it has found the scheme to be in line with the EU's temporary framework for state aid.
As noted in a statement, the scheme is a reinstatement of the aid measure approved by the Commission on 1 July 2020 (SA.57691), which expired on 31 December 2021.
