[CNA] Climate, energy, electricity interconnection discussed by Anastasiades and Sisi in Brussels

Issues related to climate change and energy were discussed by President Nicos Anastasiades and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at a meeting in Brussels.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the European Union-African Union Summit.



According to a post by President Anastasiades on Twitter, during the meeting, which took place at the office of the Cyprus Delegation in the Council building, the two Presidents discussed, among other issues, climate change and energy, With special reference to the EuroAfricaInterconnector project for the interconnection of the electricity networks of Cyprus - Egypt (and by extension Egypt and Cyprus with the EU electricity network following the planned construction of the EuroAsiaInterconnector section connecting Cyprus with Greece).
