[CNA] Citizens' request to challenge legality of orders to enter premises without vaccination rejected

The Nicosia District Court rejected a petition by 64 citizens challenging the legality of orders banning entry to premises without a vaccination certificate.

In a statement issued by the Legal Service, it is specifically stated that a decision of the President of the Nicosia District Court dated January 24, 2022, rejected in its entirety a new interim application of 64 citizens of the Republic, challenging the legality of decrees banning entry to indoor and outdoor areas without possession of a certificate of a comprehensive vaccination scheme.

The Court, accepting the positions of the Attorney General, stressed that the contested measures, on the basis of the relevant Order of the Minister of Health, are intended to protect citizens as a whole, which is a supreme duty of the State and is not critical
