The French aircraft carrier "Charles De Gaulle", which is docked in the port of Limassol, was visited today by Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides, according to a statement, accompanied by the French Ambassador to Cyprus Salina Grenet-Catalano, the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis and the Director General of the Ministry, Andreas Loukas.
"The presence of the flagship of the French fleet sends clear and unambiguous messages that the defence cooperation between Cyprus and France remains strong with the aim of strengthening security and ensuring freedom of navigation in the wider region," it added.
Finally, it is noted that on the occasion of the presence of warships participating in the air fleet, within the framework of the CLEMANCEAU 22 mission, in the Mediterranean, led by the aircraft carrier "Charles De Gaulle", BR\](CNA)
