Strong criticisms against AKEL are voiced by KE Marios Pelekanos on the occasion of the party's reaction to the President's decision to appeal to the Supreme Court in relation to his associates/advisers.
In a written reply to AKEL, Pelecanos says that "we are not surprised by AKEL's behaviour" and that "the champions in populism now want to become judges and decide before the Supreme Court on the President's appeal".
