A car parked in a fenced area in Aradippou was extensively damaged by fire, the causes of which will be investigated today.
In a written statement from the Fire Service "at around 04.20 in the early hours of Thursday 13 January, a call was received for a fire in a vehicle parked in a fenced area in Larnaca. Members of the Police and the Fire Service from the Larnaca Fire Station "Lt. Andreas Papadopoulos" with two fire engines responded."
It is added that "the fire was brought under control around 04.31. The vehicle was extensively damaged by the fire"
The scene was cordoned off and examinations are expected to be carried out today by the Police, the Fire Brigade and the Electromechanical Service to determine the exact cause of the fire.
