A "Cancer Genetics Clinic" will be established at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, according to an announcement by the Centre.
"The Andreas Papaellinas Organisation, as part of its social contribution, has made a donation for the establishment and operation of the Cancer Genetics Clinic at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, which will be staffed by a specialist pathologist oncologist in clinical cancer genetics, who will regularly monitor the relatives of patients, coordinating all the scientists needed to prevent and/or detect cancer in its early stage," it said.
It is also added that cancer is usually not hereditary.
