Our epidemiological situation is borderline, Dr Petros Karagiannis, Professor of Microbiology/Molecular Virology at the University of Nicosia Medical School, told CNA, noting at the same time that there is uncertainty as to what will happen with the "take-off" of Omicron in Cyprus.
"The situation is marginal. Either with the measures and vaccines it will remain at a level of stability or when Omicron 'takes off' then we will have a problem.
