This year's list of awards from the Queen of England includes the British Base Police Sergeant Lucas Panayiotou, who was awarded with the "Overseas Territories Police Medal".
According to a statement from the BC, this prestigious award was presented to the BC Police Sergeant, after 30 years of service, "for his outstanding work and dedication, including his role as a Community Sergeant in the Western Territories of the BC for the past 16 years."
Sergeant Panayiotou, it is added, supports charitable and community activities for children, young people and vulnerable groups, and having the title of 'school governor', supports local scout and youth groups and works closely with organisations that help children with disabilities.
