The first competitions of this year will be held this weekend, March 12 and 13, 2022, in Leiria, Portugal, which will host the 21st European Throwing Cup, in the men's / women's and under-23 categories.
According to the COEAS, Cypriot athletics will be represented at the European Cup with four male and two female athletes. In the men's category, Alexandros Poursanidis will take part in the hammer throw and Rafael Antoniou and Christoforos Genethli in the discus throw.
