Increases in fuel, electricity, fruit and vegetables continue to drive prices up. According to the Bureau of Statistics, the Consumer Price Index in February 2022 increased by 1.27 points to 105.84 points compared to 104.57 points in January 2022. Inflation in February 2022 rose at a rate of 6.6%, the Statistics Office said.
For the January-February 2022 period, the CPI increased by 6.0% compared to the same period last year.
The tables published by the Statistical Office show that the largest changes in economic categories compared to February 2021 were recorded in Petroleum Products at 28.4%, Electricity at 22.4% and Agricultural Products at 17.5%.
