Occupancy rates in December are in the 30%-40% range, according to the president of the Paphos Hoteliers Association, Thanos Michaelides, who noted that in winter in Paphos province 25% of the beds are in operation.
In a statement to CNA, Michaelides noted that winter will be difficult this year because although much reduced occupancy rates were expected in winter, with the outbreak of Omicron, cancellations have resumed and uncertainty has again been created in the market.
