The Paphos District Court issued eight-day detention orders against a 34-year-old man and his 51-year-old mother to facilitate investigations in connection with ten cases, seven of which concern attempted extortion of money from a corresponding number of citizens, while three concern extortion of money from three citizens.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michael Ioannou, today the mother and son were brought before the Pafos District Court and detention orders were issued against them for eight days.
