Two persons aged 39 and 45 from Paralimni were arrested for facilitating the investigations of the Police and the YKAN in connection with investigated cases of illegal possession of Class B controlled drug, i.e. cannabis, assault, resisting lawful arrest and obstructing a police officer in the lawful performance of his duties.
As Steve Theodoulou, spokesman for the Famagusta Police Directorate, told CNA, "on Thursday, March 17, members of the Famagusta Police Department conducted a search of the home and vehicle of a 39-year-old Paralimni resident. During the search, the 39-year-old man attacked a member of the YKAN while at the same time a 45-year-old woman attacked another member of the Service who assisted in the arrest of the 39-year-old, in order to prevent his arrest".
