A second person, aged 35, was arrested late last night in Limassol, to facilitate police investigations into an ongoing case of theft of copper wires from a fenced area of a company in Larnaca.
A written statement from the Police Headquarters Communication Office said that "one person was arrested and detained since February 23, 2022, while the second was arrested yesterday to facilitate the interrogations".
Specifically, "the case was reported to the police, by an employee of the company, on February 21, 2022, that between the dates of February 17 and 21, 2022, unknown persons entered a fenced area of the company and stole copper cables, approximately 250 meters long".
