An appeal to all women workers "to join the organized struggle and through the progressive movement of the country to fight for a better life for now and for the future" is addressed, on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, by the Pancyprian Workers' Federation (PEO), setting a series of goals in this direction.
Specifically and according to its statement, the PEO calls for "practical implementation of all legislation on equality with the effective intervention of the state and the state, improvement of wages and elimination of the causes that create the gender pay gap and full implementation of the principle of equality through collective agreements."
