A 20-year-old suspect was arrested today on a court warrant and taken into custody as part of an investigation into a case of hooliganism and scuffle committed in Paphos district on Monday, January 03, 2022, according to a statement by the Police Headquarters Communication Branch.
For the same case, ten other persons were arrested in the previous days and are in custody with court orders.
According to a statement by the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, personal detention orders of six days' duration against four suspects, men aged 40, 25, 21 and 18, who were arrested by members of the Police, in the context of the investigation of the riots and scuffles committed in Paphos district on Monday and Tuesday, 03 and 04 January, were issued yesterday by the Paphos District Court, for the purposes of police investigations.
